A rare and utterly beautiful Cantagalli tulip vase which has been conserved and restored to an exceptional standard. It is without doubt a museum quality piece. Painted decoration in the style of maiolica pieces made in Liguria during the 17th and 18th century. Condition is sympathetic conservation with restoration that has respected its age; there are very minor rubbed chips to the mouth of some of the tulip holders and age related marks have been conserved. This iconic design was later copied for Christian Dior in the mid 20th century. Viewing py appointment.
